The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG or NEET-UG Entrance Exam is an all India pre-medical test for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical studies(MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy)(BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad.

What NEET Exam is?
NEET is an entrance exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) across India. Based on the scores on NEET, candidates get admission to various government and private medical colleges. NEET exam ug is a gateway for candidates to pursue undergraduates from MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and various other medical courses. Candidates are eligible for these courses on basis of scores achieved in the exam.
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this entrance exam, which provides the results under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counselling Authorities for seat allocation to the Directorate General of Health Services.
This exam is a single entrance exam in a year for admissions to more than 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India. This is a solo entrance test to get admission to medical colleges in India in AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, etc.

- The Exam pattern – 2021 NEET question paper will have 2 sections with an equal number of questions in each subject. The total questions are 200 and have to attempt 180 questions. i.e 5 questions per the second section are optional.
- The application procedure is in two phases-
- Phase 1- Candidates have to fill in some of the information during registration.
- Phase 2- Information of the second phase will entered before the declaration of results.
- This time NEET Exam is going to conduct in 13 different languages.
- NEET 2021 was also conducted in Kuwait and Dubai. In a first, NEET was conducted in international places.
- Age limit criteria is removed from nta neet 2021.
- Now, there would be 27% reservation of OBC and 10% reversation of EWS in 15% AIQ(All India Quota) in MBBS/BDS seats.

Admission to AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS courses will also be on the basis of the marks obtained in NEET 2021. Apart from these, 83,075 MBBS seats across the country will be filled through NEET 2021 marks.
