Common University Entrance Test (CUET) entrance exam 2022 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) to enroll students in various UG courses. These courses offered at all central universities including DU, AMU, JNU, JMI, EFLU, and other state Universities. Students aiming to study undergraduate programs in central universities of India have to appear in the CUET which is now mandatory. A student’s Board marks of 10th and 12th will have no role in determining his/her admission to a college or a course. It will be based only on his/her CUET marks, however, board marks could be the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

CUET UG 2022: Overview

CUET UG 2022 application form got released on 6th April. The last date is 6th May, till 5 pm. The students need to register themselves on the official website first then, they can fill out the application form with their personal details and academic qualifications. Then, the candidates need to pay the exam fee before 11:50 pm on 6th May. The CUET 2022 exam conducted in the first or second week of July.

The exam conducted in 13 Languages for students from all parts of India. Also, this is an online CBT mode exam (Computer-Based Test) in 547 cities across India for the common entrance test for central universities. In brief, the CUET 2022 enables the candidates to apply for 54 Central Universities in India.

The score of CUET is accepted by all the central universities, which will fill around 1.8 lakh seats in total. Additionally, the exam completed in 2 shifts and held only once every year. But, the NTA is considering organizing this exam twice a year from the next session. Earlier, this CUCET exam was a paper-pen-based mode exam. Then, last year, the NTA switched it to a computer-based mode online exam. Now, approximately 1-2 lakh candidates can take this national-level central universities common entrance test in 2022.

CUET 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are a basic & vital aspect of any exam. The candidates need to clear it before applying for an exam and filling out the application form. As a result, the Central Universities already set minimum eligibility criteria depending on the program selected by the candidates. To appear in the CUET 2022, the students must clear these minimum eligibility criteria. Different programs have different eligibility rules for admissions. CUET Exam 2022: Application Form

Candidates have to fill CUET 2022 exam application form via an online mode on the official website of the exam. The first step is to register by entering the basic details of the candidate such as name, address, and contact details. This generates login credentials. After logging in with the registration credentials, candidates will have to fill up the CUET 2022 application form with their personal and academic details, program, and exam city preference and upload documents. After the form is filled, candidates have to pay the CUET application fee online via debit/credit card, Net Banking, Paytm, and UPI.

After completing the form, the final stage is the payment of application fees. The last date to pay the CUET exam 2022 fee is 6th May. Moreover, the students pay their application fee depending to the respective category. Candidates can pay the application fee through various online modes. CUET Exam: Seats Reservations

As CUET is an entrance exam for admissions to UG courses at the Central Universities of India, which have been established under an Act of the Parliament, each Central University must follow norms set by the Government of India, with respect to intake and reservation of seats. This section of the CUET Eligibility provides relaxation to the SC/ST, OBC, and PwD category. these reservations with percentage is mentioned below-

CUET 2022 Exam: Admission Process

The process of this entrance exam is simple and has a few steps to follow. These steps are mentioned below-

NTA will also conduct CUET Exam in 13 languages ( Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu). CUET 2022 will be conducted in an online mode this year, earlier, the exam was offline. The Exam pattern of the exam with marks is given below-

  2. The exam is of MCQ type only and there will be a total of 175 questions out of which 140 questions are to be attempted.
  3. A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB together.
  4. Section II consists of 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.

CUET UG 2022: Exam Syllabus

NTA has released the CUET entrance exam 2022 syllabus along with notifications. Generally, the syllabus consists of the topics related to one’s previous academic syllabus. As a result, the syllabus for UG programs will consist of topics from the NCERT class 11 and 12 academic syllabi. CUET 2022: Exam Center

Candidates can fill out four cities as their preferred test centers in the application form. 547 cities in India and 13 cities abroad will feature test centers for the CUET entrance exam 2022. In addition to this, the NTA tries its best to give every candidate a center they selected. Also, when less than 100 students register for the test center, that center is canceled automatically, and a nearby test center is allotted.

The candidates get notified of the allotted test center on their admit cards. Moreover, once an exam center get assigned to the candidate, that person can’t request to change it. Lastly, the NTA has decided to add two more exam centers because of the prevailing covid-19 virus in the country:

CUET 2022: Exam day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for CUET 2022 are advised to read the exam day guidelines mentioned on the admit card carefully. Candidates must have to carry the below-mentioned documents to the allotted test center on the day of the exam:

Apart from knowing about the documents to be carried, candidates should also be aware of the things that should not be carried inside the exam hall. Some such things include calculators, mobile phones, watches, eatables, etc.

CUET 2022 admit card will released online, tentatively in the first week of June. Admit card is the tentative document that has to be carried to the exam center by the candidate. The candidates can download their CUET admit card 2022 by logging in with the registration credentials. The direct link to download the CUET hall ticket or admit card will be provided on this page as and when it is announced.

CUET 2022: Exam Results

NTA plans to release the CUET 2022 exam result in the 1st week of August. In addition to this, the CUET results will get published online on the official website of CUET. So, the candidates needed to log in with their roll number and Date of Birth to check their results in the entrance exam. CUET result features the overall score, section-wise score, and percentile of the candidates. Finally, the students will have to download their result from the official website and print it for future reference.

CUET Exam: Cut Offs

The cut-off marks for the CUET 2022 entrance exam will get published along with the result. NTA released only the overall qualifying cut-off for the 2022 exam. But the participating universities and institutes also issue their specific cut-offs for each program available on their campus. The cut-off mark is the minimum mark that the candidate needs to score to qualify for the entrance test. This score depends on the number of candidates giving the exam, seats available, and the difficulty level of the exam.

CUET Exam 2022: Counselling

CUET 2022 counselling will be conducted by the participating institutes individually. Each & every institute will release its merit list based on qualifying candidates after the result is announced. Interested candidates register in their dream colleges and then participate in its counselling process, which is likely to be held online. Generally, there are three rounds of counselling and the number of rounds may vary depending on the seat vacancy. After the allotment of seat results is declared, candidates will have to accept the admission offer by reporting to the institutes and getting their documents verified. Few of the programs, where instead of counselling, the interview is taken. NTA sees the admission process for those programs separately in the information brochure of CUET 2022.
